Attention all cubicle dwellers -- or those of you who are allowed to freely play music throughout your work space: AOL Radio's breaking ground by putting together the FIRST week-long, all Twitter song request station. It's going to be awesome and we're going to spend all day tweeting requests that no one else will probably tweet (INOJ, anyone?)
But I feel that as an site dedicated to the web, we have a real purpose here. Yes, while we know Rickrolling is a web trend of the past (the Internet moves so quickly these days!), this opportunity is just too good to pass up. The more votes a particular song gets, the more often it gets played on the station. I think we should join together as an Internet Nation and Rickroll AOL Radio.
Interested? I didn't lose you at Rick roll? Here are the official rules for submitting a request:
Today (Wed. June 10th) from 12 pm ET until midnight ET, announce your request by tweeting the artist/band name, song title and hashtagging it with #aolradiorequestSo NOW, hop onto Twitter, copy/paste the below "example" and let's do this!
Example: Rick Astley, "Never Gonna Give You Up" #aolradiorequest
