Everybody remembers that scene in Big when Tom Hanks and his boss bond over the floor piano at New York's toy superstore F.A.O. Schwartz. At the time of the film's release, the floor piano fit perfectly alongside the cultural fascination with all things functionally futuristic (which is why The Sharper Image and Epcot were so popular). In fact, a giant keyboard that could be played with the touch of a foot was almost too much to handle.
And still, the floor piano remains at the store to this day, while another model lives at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. So you can be sure that plenty of tourists have witnessed floor pianists or even danced out the music themselves, purposefully capturing the footage and uploading it to the old YouTubes.
