A very emotional thing happened during the final American Idol episode on Wednesday ... and it was during the commercials. Those tricksters at State Farm premiered their campaign featuring people helping people ... and it will pretty much make you want to hug everyone within a five mile radius. (So if you are in New York City right now, watch out as I may be coming for you.) It will also make the Jackson 5's I'll Be There your new karaoke standard. But wait -- there's more! As I sat there leaking tears everywhere, I did what I always do: tweeted about it. That was the end of it, right? Um, no. The next day some very magical marketing elves from State Farm tweeted back to not only me... but other emotional tweeters... telling us we're not alone. [GULP] Then I cried again. HUGZ to you State Farm. HUGZ.

I'm in a wheelchair, when I saw the clip of the Dad pushing his Son in a wheelchair in the marching band -- I couldn't hold the tears back. This is the most powerful commercial I've ever seen!
Blessings on whoever put this together.
You ROCK! (I roll)

Great commercial - wrong company. As anyone who has been through a hurricane in the last 10 years and they will tell you that State Farm was not there for them!

Having lost my home to a wildfire I cannot believe how poorly I have been treated by State farm. In fact I have no positive feedback from anyone covered by State farm who lost homes in the fire.
Other carries treated there customers much better, look else were for your insurance needs, NOW!

I just saw the commercial, today June 27th, and have to say, the timing with Michael's death is just insulting and desperate on your count! You give no time to grieve and take in the information on Micheal's death before you capitalize on the opportunity! Totally turned off by your company!! Whether someone is a fan or not, this is just bad judgement on your part.

PEOPLE, this commercial has been running since MAY, they didn't produce the commercial and plop it out there the day he died! So stop blaming State Farm on capitalizing on MJ's death---this deal was done with the Jackson Family months ago! As for State Farm---well, if you don't like the coverage, go to another company---it's America! Capitalism used to reign free---i guess we are growing a Nanny state full of citizens that depend on gov't bureaucrats to pay for their insurance, mortgages and clothes for their kids.

It's a good commercial. The song is one of my favorites, too bad it has to be advertising for State Farm. State Farm is a joke and this commercial shouldn't even be playing in the state of Florida, since they aren't renewing any of the home owner's insurance policies. I hope they get out of our state and stay the hell out!

I have been paying premium money to State Farm for years and I don't like it that State Farm spent any of it promoting Michael Jackson.
