Eventually Leeroy Jenkins, a character created by Ben Schultz, gets impatient with all the standing around, yells his own name like a Rebel battle cry and promptly leads the group to their fiery deaths. The massive hilarity of the incident led to over 11 million YouTube views, a Jeopardy! question, and exposed the mainstream masses to the dark underbelly of massively multiplayer online role-playing games.
