david after dentistKids find drugs in the darnedest of places. When David DeVore had to visit his dentist to get a tooth removed, the little guy left the building, shall we say, "dazed and confused." In other words, David was all hopped up on sum'n sum'n, and Dad -- equipped with a Flip cam and a sense of humor -- knew the moment was too funny to let pass without being recorded for later viewing.

As it turns out, the Internet found David just as hilarious as his old man did. With brilliant quotes that could only come from, well... a kid [legally] zonked out of his mind, 'David After Dentist' was unarguably the first viral smash sensation of 2009, and only keeps on chuggin, replete with a blog, wearable merchandise, and remixes galore.

In addition to David's sudden celebrity, the video brought an international spotlight to a new question for the digital age -- should parents be posting videos of their children to YouTube? The web (and beyond) exploded with arguments for either side of the debate.

Without thinking too much into it, 'David After Dentist' will, indeed, "be forever," and that's just the way we like it.
