Despite the fact that the video is merely taped from the back row of an auditorium, motivational speaker Judson Laipply's 'Evolution of Dance' became an instant YouTube hit. The video maintains its spot as the second most-viewed video on YouTube (in a constant battle with Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend') and landed Laipply appearances on Good Morning America, CNN and the Today Show. The video itself is of a segment Laipply uses to close out his speaking appearances in which he performs dance moves through the ages from 1959 to present. Cheesy though the bit is, it is one of the first comedy performances to blow up on YouTube and remains among the first ever viral videos -- naturally, one of the many parodied in Weezer's 'Pork and Beans' music video.

I never did, and never will, understand the appeal of this video. Leaves me completely and utterly different. Meh to the power of infinity.
