Urlesque counts down the top 100 viral videos in the history of the web.

#40 - Christian Bale Freak Out

Ah, Christian Bale. From Newsies heartthrob to American Psycho hottie -- he is a true master of his craft. A professional, you might say. So don't you dare F**king cross him! Like, literally, do not cross his path during a shoot. Audio from an on-set meltdown during the filming of Terminator Salvation hit the web and spawned one of the funniest parody video memes in recent history. From homemade vids acting out Bale's rant to mock trailers on comedy sites like Funny Or Die to amazing remixes -- we all felt some terminator wrath and, well, let's face it: a little salvation, too. #39 - The Two Talking Cats

The two kitties in this video, Stina and Mossy, typically "fight instead of communicate" so their chat (that lasted for an hour, according to the YouTube page) caught on video leaves much to the imagination. What on earth are they talking about? Why then? In conversation, the kitties take on human-like idiosyncracies -- much to the delight of the people accountable for the near 20 million views and cat ladies everywhere. Also see the translation video of their talk, which offers a possibility of what exactly they were talking about that day. -KR

#38 - Obama Girl - 'I've Got a Crush on Obama'

Yet another example of the varied and often bizarre Obama-related creativity spawned by the internet. Barely Political recruited a model named Amber Lee Ettinger to lip sync a song fantasizing about the then Presidential candidate, and it took off like viral wildfire -- largely because it gave political cable news hosts an excuse to show a big-breasted twentysomething in a bikini. As the initial video turned into a series, the novelty started to wear off, but it was kinda fun while it lasted... right? -AM

#37 - Lonelygirl15

In possibly one of the greatest viral mysteries to hit the internet (aside from the Montauk Monster, of course), videos of a young girl calling herself Bree and using the moniker "lonelygirl15" hit the YouTubes in June of 2006. The vlogs mostly took place in Bree's bedroom and told the story of the girl -- who not only crushed on her friend Daniel (whose vlogs soon surfaced) but seemed to also belong to a strange cult, turning out to be an "evil organization called The Order." The story fooled many -- who all searched in vain to discover Bree's true identity and proof of her validity. Alas, in September of 2006, it was discovered that Bree was actually actress Jessica Rose, who was chosen for the role by creators Ramesh Flinders, Greg Goodfried, and Miles Beckett -- filmmakers who eventually turned the hoax into a web series called KateModern. Bree might not exist, but Jessica Rose is still webfamous for so convincingly playing the perky vlogger who over 100 million viewers so desperately wanted to be real. -LW

#36 - 'One Bank'

In this stunning tribute to the 2006 Bank of America-MBNA merger, banking center manager Ethan Chandler sings his own version of U2's "One" -- inserting his own inspiring lyrics into the song. A video that was destined to go viral (before it even hit YouTube), once you hear this version there is no way you'll ever be able to hear the original the same again. Beware. -LW
