According to English Russia (more specifically, whatever we could gather from the wonky translation), stray dogs of Moscow are the smartest. These pups are the real deal, taking the train into downtown day after day, constantly demonstrating new ways to scare shwarma out of the hands of passersby.
Naturally, homeless dogs are -- of course -- way sad. And yet, so keeewwwwt! These guys need their own Billy Joel-penned soundtrack.

Ohhh, they sure tug on my heart strings. If I could, I'd take every single one of them in and give them a loving home. Poor babies...but damn, they are smart. It's a shame that we let such wonderful creatures roam the streets homeless and hungry. They deserve so much better.

I work for a group that does work and meals for the homeless here in Ft Lauderdale. I often work in the dishwashing room, hey some one has to do it! A number of our guests have pets and I try to same any good stuff we get from cleaning the plates to the side and they know if they catch me at the end of serving time I will give it to them for their pets.
I love my cat and couldn't imagine being without him, they feel the same way about their pet. And the stuff was just going in the trash anyway

Those Russian dogs look comfortable, which means they are treated well by Russians. Bless people who are decent to animals.

Has no one noticed that these dogs all look pretty healthy?? None of them appear thin and starving as is typical with strays....

There's a special place in heaven for dogs, especially ones who are abused/neglected. Compassion is such an important quality in humans.

The key to a person's heart is a loving pet. I have two cats and a dog and I love them very much. They bring laughter and joy to my family every day. Unconditional love, if only people could be the same.

I place a higher value on a dogs life than 99.9% of the humans in the world. I would save a dog before I saved a kid ! Piss on starving kids.

People SHOULD cry over these helpless, homeless animals. It's the humans who domesticated them then discard them as unfeeling bits of garbage that are just as disposable as any inanimate object. Animals FEEL just like our poor race of humans feel, so, yes, CRY for them as well. These animals don't go out and overspend or get into drugs and lose everything to end up on the streets like humans! They depend on us, our caring and compassionate side to take care of them...they are innocent creatures and I pity the humans of this world who would abandon or harm any animals in any way!

No, it's not funny; however, it is touching that the Russian people appear to not be bothered by the dogs' presence and actually respect their lives as well. In this country, those dogs would be shooed off the train and rounded up and taken to a pound and killed.

I agree with most of the comments above. Dogs as well as other animals should be treated with just as much respect as fellow humans. There is just no competition.

I respect the lives of the cockroaches, rats, and termites that live in my apartment and building. We live in harmony together and sing songs. Sometimes we like to cuddle in bed together... one big happy family.
Some people only respect the lives of dogs because their appearance is "cute". Not me, all life should be respected and loved. When I eat a salad, I feel guilty because a poor unsuspecting plant died to feed me. It makes me weep, because I attribute human intelligence and emotions to all living things.
