Probably not. Once a blanket with sleeves makes The New York Times, you know it's gone beyond cult status. The Snuggie is America's new Chia Pet, for reals.
But have you seen The Egg Genie?
- Like the Snuggie, the commercial looks oddly retro
- The Egg Genie itself appears like a product that should have remained in 1972
- The gifted actress who demonstrates the frustration caused by "messy eggs" and "heavy pots of water" is poised for ironic stardom

But, really, why not just combine both products? Finally, you'll be able to cook eggs in a plastic yellow bundt cake-shaped thing while keeping warm in a fuzzy painting smock.
Anything is possible, you guys.

I don't think this is anywhere near snuggy level. I actually like this thing. Plus, William and Sonoma have a 100 dollar version of this. Sorry don't get the post. Almost a FAIL.

Nothing new - Tupperware gave out an egg cooker exactly like this (except lid was shaped like a chicken) over 12 years ago.
Do agree on the ironic "actress". LOL!

Is it really that difficult to boil water?
If someone served me Eggs Benedict that looked like that, I'd throw it out. Again, not that difficult.

I'm throwing away my Egg Genie. I was really disgusted to find out that I purchased a product that's actually being advertised on Glenn Beck's how.
GLENN BECK?! That boil on the butt of humanity???
What a waste of my money.
