Probably not. Once a blanket with sleeves makes The New York Times, you know it's gone beyond cult status. The Snuggie is America's new Chia Pet, for reals.

But have you seen The Egg Genie?



We wouldn't necessarily be surprised if the egg cooker gained popularity as the next big infomercial product. Reasons why:


  • Like the Snuggie, the commercial looks oddly retro
  • The Egg Genie itself appears like a product that should have remained in 1972
  • The gifted actress who demonstrates the frustration caused by "messy eggs" and "heavy pots of water" is poised for ironic stardom




But, really, why not just combine both products? Finally, you'll be able to cook eggs in a plastic yellow bundt cake-shaped thing while keeping warm in a fuzzy painting smock.

Anything is possible, you guys.
