This week has been a real whirlwind for us. First, we LOLd at the Westminster Dog Show and met the Dad of the puppies from the famous Shiba Inu Puppy Cam. Then we posted about it and one commenter claimed that the puppies were from a puppy mill and shared the stat that "4 million dogs were killed last year in shelters because of puppy mills" -- which really piqued our attention and also sparked a debate in the comments of the post.
But whether you side with Urlesque commenter Brianna or DogsWithCones, we all can agree that streaming webcams from shelters -- with the intent to help little critters who need a home to get adoped -- is a win-win situation for all.
So the following animal shelter webcams are for you, Urlesque commenter DogsWithCones. To all you other readers out there, leave us a provocative comment and maybe we'll make a post for you too.
- Check out the Kitty Cam from the West Los Angeles Animal Care Center. These little guys went up for adoption on February 8th.
- Click the picture (or this link) to watch the Cascade Ferret Network's ferret cam
- Click the picture (or this link) to watch the ShadowCats kitty cam
- Click the picture (or this link) to watch the Bonaire Donkey Sanctuary donkey cam

- And if you wait 47 days, you can watch a pair of endangered Peregrine Falcons who have been nesting on the Radisson Hotel in downtown Winnipeg since 1989.

Thank you so much for doing this. I'm glad I could enlighten some of your readers, and I'm glad that you helped by posting some shelter-cams.
Dog breeders are in it for PROFIT. The Westminster Dog Show is done FOR PROFIT. Are these champion dogs abused? No, but breeders often abort or kill puppies that are not worthy of carrying the blood lines. It's a cold, cruel, calculating business.
There is no middle ground: Breeders who SELL puppies are puppy mills.
These are not cuddly pets. These dogs are toys for the rich. Another way to put a trophy on the mantle and brag to their rich friends.
