The Internet is good for many things, from shopping for air-conditioned suits to sifting through endless videos of dogs on treadmills. But another reason we <3 The 'Netz is because there's so much awesome free sh*t to pilfer!

Today, we bring you SnagFilms, a site dedicated to posting full-length quality documentaries at no cost. In return, the site hopes to inspire users to "snag" and post elsewhere, thereby continuing the tradition of films that "engage and inspire us to action." In fact, you can watch docs as popular as Hoop Dreams or Super Size Me or, instead, a 45-minute feature about pugs. (Ummm, yes please!)

While A Pug's Life naturally tops our list of what to watch first (check it out after the jump), we'll surely be checking out these flicks, too:
  • Confessions of a Superhero, in which we get a glimpse into the lives of three mortal men and one mortal woman who parade down Hollywood Boulevard as superheroes. For a living.
  • We Are Family, because seeing Maury Povich and Taylor Dayne come together in the name of patriotism promises to be bizarre and, ultimately, probably pretty awesome
  • Run Granny Run, which chronicles 94-year-old political activist Doris "Granny D" Haddock's rally against the influence of big money in elections, all before she encounters the chance to run for U.S. Senate.
