Okay, so you know how you have that dream where you're flying and it's amazing and then you suddenly slip and plummet toward the earth before waking up in a cold sweat?

Well, apparently, some guys have turned your dream-cum-death wish into a reality. In fact, these dudes wear wingsuits (which look exactly like what you'd imagine) and soar through the air at super-speed (after skiing off a cliff and detaching them mid-air), somehow barely skimming the ground with nary a scratch.

Wingsuit base jumping, as it's called, appears to be a idyllic, life-affirming experience, and yet the act itself looks so utterly terrifying that I conclude this post with mildly sweaty palms and butterflies in my tummy.

Then again, I can barely handle the bunny hill.
