I'm not sure what I love more about the Yurex, Maywa Denki's new gizmo for monitoring restless legs --

  • The design, which owes a lot to disco nostalgia, I think.
  • The ads, which come to us from the future, as envisioned by me when I was seven years-old following a trip to Epcot Center.
  • OR the social networking community that's built up around the device at the Yurex website, which offers a place for people who suffer from restless leg syndrome to go and watch other people with restless leg syndrome as they are unknowingly videotaped in malls and bus stops by what have to be Peeping Tom cams. That's what it looks like, at least.
