Bigfoot! Unicorns! Suri Cruise! There's an elite list of mythical creatures which we all know and reference in our fantasy literature. It's a list that rarely expands and when it does, well, WE HAVE TO POST about it. And post we shall -- about the Oklahoma Octopus. As far as I can tell, there are three things fantastical about the Oklahoma Octopus:
  • 1.) It breathes in fresh water.
  • 2.) There's no "evidence" that the octopus actually exists, save for a handful of sightings reported by the ever fantastical Native Americans.
  • 3.) It's from Oklahoma, the land of make-believe.

American Monsters, a web authority on freaky lake monsters, reports that the existence of the Oklahoma Octopus would explain the "notoriously high mortality rate for swimmers" in the area. Anybody get close enough to escape with their life AND a pic?
