What's the most romantic way you can think of proposing? Underwater? In Christmas lights? In a crossword puzzle? Via Tweet? While the first three require days of planning, scheming and execution, the last merely requires a Twitter account and 140 characters. It's also a proposal that has caused quite the Internet ruckus over the past few days.

Christina Warren (@film_girl) and Grant Robertson (@grobertson) blog for The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) and DownloadSquad (respectively), so it was only natural that these two tech-heads would come together via the Internet's favorite new medium. They also happen to be part of our lovely group of sister sites, so we truly wish them all the best.

But they're not the first, so can we call proposing via Twitter a trend yet?

We totally get it -- and if anyone's a little Internet-obsessed, it's us -- but there's still that little nagging feeling that something about this type of proposal is a little weird. Does the Internet take the meaning out of things? Or have we fully entered into a new wave of romantic web-gestures? The cute factor's there so it would already fit right in among the cats and babies.

What do you guys think? Will you be popping the question over the web? Check out the proposal (and its answer) below and let us know!
