its a tapir they are a mammal and are only found in south America in the rainforest. They are related to Capybara.

they also live in the rainforests of Central America. My husband (100% Maya) says they're delicious, like pork but very lean. The spots are so the baby blends into the mottled leaf litter of the rainforest. Tapirs are very shy, and don't have many defenses, so even if you went to the rainforest, you probably wouldn't see one... but isn't it just the cutest wittle fing ever?!?!?!?

Tapirs and Capybaras aren't related at all... Capibaras are rodents (the largest ones, in fact), while Tapirs are more closely related to horses and rhinos.
