It's a Chow, guaranteed. I've had a few Chows before and it's unmistakeably of that variety. All black is a frequent color variant for a chow, and all one has to do is dye it properly, and what you get is a cute panda-looking dog.
It takes a great deal of dog love to own a chow though. They're pretty aloof and tempermental, require a great deal of training, but are extremely smart and natural born problem solvers. They're difficult with other animals, and extremely possessive and protective as well. They also have a expansive idea of what their territory encompasses. Still, if you're willing to put up with the negatives, they're just awesome animals.
I've been raising them for 17 years....they are wonderful dogs for the right owner. Not everyone can own a Chow. Possessive, territorial, no-nonsense, regal, and arrogant, but very affectionate and playful with their people. You don't own a Chow....it consents to allow you to care for it and cater to it.

Actually, this is a chow puppy that got spray painted (with nontoxic paint of course). Google panda dog and you will see.

I disagree. There is nothing cute about that baby panda. plus, it's been photoshooped; I would know, i've seen a few photoshooped images in my day.

Those people who dye their dogs, should be shot on sight.
