That would have been cool during the surrealism era, but now that's just boring...
Take something natural and put something human-made that might match the natural thing's colors with it and there you go, you're an artist. If it were the case, the same would apply when you put water into a blue bottle of plastic: ART.
Sorry for the guy who did this and I didn't want to bring him down, but that's just my opinion.

I think it's awesome, to put so much time into a bare, colorless tree and to make it something to look at during the gloomy months. The surrounding area doesn't look too appealing, but the tree does. So long as the creater takes the same amount of time taking care of the tree and umbrellas, once they start falling off, then who cares?

looks great, the color of umbrellas is perfect, doesn't matter surrealist era or not, it bring something into focus that otherwise would be just a blah spot
