I love a good generator -- names, quips, sex acts you'd have trouble imagining let alone performing. So I was prepared to love Generator Land, a new site that seemed to promise to generate me a personality on days I feel without identity and boring (some mornings are so EmOos). And though I do dig it, I recommend that YOU avoid the site's name generators and spend your time on some of the more original features.
Whereas the totally random-ass nature specific to this site's crop of generators makes finding a new hippie name an exercise in pointlessness, the irreverence really works for the Twitter Status Updater, satirizing the pointlessness of microblogging in the process. I am currently,
Blithely nuanced and feeling bad about waffles.
Similarly, the Homespun Analogy Generator makes you realize the absurdity of regional sayings with random analogy mash-ups. They're like Grampa after a DJ Wry remix. She was as hornswaggled as a midget bunny ina hornets nest. |

Denise Richards Drunk and Disorderly While JoggingSometimes, Generator Land hits a little too close to home, huh? And sometimes Generator Land is genius. Best On The Site Award goes to Nietzsche Family Circus which randomly couples a Family Circus cartoon with a Nietzschianism to LOL effect. Click that link.

The review is much appreciated! We just wanted to note that while we have always created our own generators, for the first few months of our existence we also featured other sites' creations, one of them being the brilliant "Nietzsche Family Circus." The rest of the generators you mentioned (for better or for worse) are indeed Generator Land originals. Thanks again for the mention.
