Remember the tiny, terrifying faces hidden in broccoli that almost gave a couple of foodies indigestion? UPDATE! The bloggers who first reported the phenom at Bread & Honey e-mailed Small Planet Foods, the company responsible for packaging the Cascadian Farm broccoli, and they received a response!
The tradition of hiding names or faces on Cascadian Farm packaging began over a dozen years ago. It was unspoken tribute by the package design department to the friends & family of Cascadian Farm. The faces won't be included on our redesigned packaging.Won't be included in the redesign?!?? Oh no, you guys. You mean no more tiny terrifying faces in my broccoli? Better hold on to those old packages then. Years from now they'll be worth millions. Of laughs, if not dollars. Until then, collect all the old Cascadian Farm designs while you can -- different but equally terrifying faces in each of them! For example:
