College dropout Joel Moss Levinson is a dude who gets user-generated content. He also understands the voice of the Internet (read: silly) and, furthermore, unlike so many young people of his generation, he has grasped how to appease grown-ups who are still trying to crack the medium. What, these older professionals in the world of advertising are dying to know, are "the kids" doing online and how does one reach them?
Levinson knows the answer: YouTube (duh!). In lieu of a day job, he has turned the practice of uploading ridiculous home videos into a lucrative business that has reportedly earned him $200,000 in money and prizes, including trips to Australia, Buenos Aires and Copenhagen. Not bad, huh? Clients like Klondike, Little Penguin Wine and Best Western are quietly transforming the Madison Avenue suit into, well, a manic, afro'd manchild.
