If pet rocks had always looked like, ya know, pets, I might have better understood their appeal while thinking they were even sadder.
Find more literal pet rocks at Pet A Rock. You will want to pet them very badly then feel sorry that you did. Rocks are hard, y'all.

Realistic rocks don't smell, don't require
walking, don't constantly need attention.
Imagine....seen but not heard really is a
possibility.
