Comedian Demetri Martin makes a great point about graffiti in his act. Pointing out that wall scrawls most often encompass passionate claims about political affiliations and posse pride, Martin poses the idea of defaming public property with "indifferent graffiti," like "I like Sheryl as a friend, but I'm not sure about taking things further" and "This is a bridge!"
