If you watched last night's Presidential Debate, you surely noticed how significantly "peppier" John McCain appeared in a forum in which he could directly interact with so many voters. But to McCain, the good folks asking questions weren't just voters, they were his friends. In fact, he referred to the audience (and, we can only assume, the viewers at home) as his "friends" 21 times.
There's surely an audience that appreciates this Reagan-style attempt at building instant comraderie. And, yet, there's also the audience that detests it. Some even resent it (and where was my birthday card this year, John?).
But the good folks at Slate have taken full advantage of McCain's term of choice, putting together a spiffy little mashup that will let you download the hottest ringtone among all your GOP pals.
Who needs Soulja Boy when you've got an actual soldier (to let you know your Mom's calling)?
