Etsy, the fabulous resource for crafters and artisans to sell their handmade creations, has a newish area of their site called Alchemy where users can request a custom item and sellers bid on the opportunity to fulfill the requests.

As we have learned from Craiglist, it's pretty amazing to see people's desires splayed out on the web, and after looking through what some Alchemy users are asking for.... well, we just had to share our favorite so far (text also placed below):

My mom has wanted a toilet-shaped earring to put in her cartilage (ear) piercing to signify that her ear is "in the crapper". (She is deaf in her left ear due to a surgical mishap.) Her birthday is in mid-November so I would like it to be done by the beginning of November so I can give it to her in time.
