This is the greatest thing you will ever see. Seriously. Remember The Rock-afire Explosion -- the kinda creepy animatronic animal band that serenaded you during dinner at Showbiz Pizza Place throughout the '80s? Aaron Fechter (who formerly collaborated with Chris Thrash) held onto one of the bands once they were removed from the restaurants and is putting it to amazing use.
On Aaron's site, users are allowed to bid on which popular song that they would like to see the band perform. Based on the bids, Aaron then programs and choreographs the band to perform the winning song, videotapes the performance and then uploads the video to a YouTube account for everyone to enjoy.
So far the band has performed songs from a variety of genres and artists including Madonna, Arcade Fire, MGMT and Shakira. Here's my personal fave: 'Love in the Club' by Usher.
Go to the site and bid now -- so far there are some pretty pricey bids up there. But, deep down you know which song from the list that you MUST bid on, Internet.
