Labor Day weekend is upon us, and with it comes the end of Summerstravaganza '08. The past few months will go down in history for many things, from political inanity to economic apocalypse to Olympic spectacle. But mostly we'll remember the events immortalized in YouTube's "The summer of cryptid crazyness." Break out the Kleenex, and don't you dare skip the big finish:

Unfortunately the moment of truth this video anticipates on August 15th didn't really happen, and the rest kind of fizzled out too. But no matter what, Internet, we'll always have those memories of bloggy horror, when the sun shone down on pale geeks and easily photoshoppable creatures alike.
