Esmee Denters, the chick hand-picked by Justin Timberlake to record under his label after he spotted her singing on YouTube, obviously did something right. In her videos, Denters looks straight into the [web]camera and, without hesitation, sings with a confidence that can't be replicated by just anyone.

Except maybe ... this guy:



YouTube user hesingsthethemes does just that: he sings the themes to television shows. And while he is as equally hypnotic as Denters, it's only because whether or not he knows he can't sing and is, in fact, in on the joke remains unclear.

His coverage of tunes from shows as far and wide as The Andy Griffith Show to Family Ties to Full House (both the "short and long" versions!) illustrates a vast knowledge of programs, but it's in the twisted, effed-up pseudo-motifs that he applies to each song that make these videos nothing less than mind-boggling.

Part performance art, part inside joke, hesingsthethemes may not get the vote of approval from Justin Timberlake, but as far as Urlesque is concerned, the kid's a star!
