20. Brett Erlich: Idiot Savant Newshound

  • Who? The John Krasinski lookalike is a scruffy doofus who secretly knows way more than you'd assume. Politically keen, critically biting and as Web-aware as the day is long, Erlich's charm is undeniable, and here's to hoping that The Daily Show producers are paying attention.
  • Mancrushin': The programming on Current is hard to beat - it's fresh, relevant, thoughtful and well-paced, essentially in thanks to its onsreen personalities like Mr. Erlich. Although it may have been initially viewed as overreaching or perhaps a bit hifalutin in its questionably hippie-dippie attempt to mainstream "citizen journalism," the tides have most definitely turned.
