2. Anil Dash: Mr. Nice Guy

• Who? Besides acting as the Vice President of Six Apart (home of blogging platforms TypePad, Movable Hype and Vox). Anil Dash is essentially a "Web guy" whose own blog, Dashes, is consistently informative and, more importantly, successfully promotes Dash's message of how the Internet can yield societal benefits. As you read my writing about an Internet mogul (for a blog that focuses on Web phenomena, no less), there are tons and tons [and tons] of people who are still at the point where they just wish they could remember that darn password to sign onto Compuserve. And Dash understands that, and furthermore uses his blog as a means of reaching out to, at the very least, readers who may not necessarily have the "in," thus helping bridge the divide between the layman and the Twittering, Tumbling, Facebooking Web Nerd.
