5. Geek to Geek

  • The look: Like a Unisex bathroom door in a sweetly lame internet cafe ... in Second Life, where the headphones and shades on the couple holding hands have a strictly medical function.

  • The geeks: Same deal as any other social networking site with picture profiles, only you won't get an STD from scrolling through the member galleries. These people look really nice, if there's a pic at all. Most of the dudes would rather you see their face after the internet wedding.
  • The verdict: For small town fanboys who have never heard of 'Love and Rockets' and the girls who have.


4. Anime Dates
  • The look: A boy and a girl feeding each other ice cream in the banner allude to a menajathree, and I've never felt more welcome ... anyplace, ever. Once you join, expect a profile that looks like the back of a trading card, with invitational links to stick it to your long-distance bunny girl in Cosplay War ('Project Runway' for geeks).

  • The geeks: Should be required to only post profile pics of themselves in full Cosplay. Warning: Creepy white boys with japanese girl fetish at maximum capacity!
  • The verdict: For girls in animal ears a body suit away from becoming a furry. For anybody with a thing for tentacles. For "otaku", as the otaku like to say.
