TechCrunch wonders if Google's search trends are an accurate predictor of election results. Of the 32 Democratic primary states Google had enough data on, 27 went to the candidate who had been searched for the most. Now that both parties have presumptive nominees, the obvious question is how do Barack Obama and John McCain stack up against each other? Well, according to the current chart it's Obama by a landslide. But does the fact that Obama's supporters seem to be more web-savvy give him an advantage? Should McCain be worried that the telegraph vote isn't what it used to be? Maybe McCain should cancel his appearances for the rest of the month and just hang out on Gchat. No? Then at least try out a couple of fist bumps. That might give him a fighting chance from the online crowd.
