This site reviews animal species objectively.

That's the only description given for the new blog Animal Review, and no more is needed. The site's combination of two long-held internet favorites, animals and snarkily reviewing things, might just turn it into the next sensation.

I mean, who wouldn't want to read an overwrought justification of a C- grade for the Mongolian Gerbil? B- for Wildebeests? A brutal fail for Alpacas? Plus, it's all somewhat educational (hat tip to Wikipedia, for sure). Just stop wondering about Amoebas, ok?

The faux academic, mostly sarcastic, debate-igniting tone is nothing new -- the site shares more than a Wordpress aesthetic with Stuff White People Like, that paragon of blog success. But will we obsess over armchair animal analysis as much as we did over that of human beings? If the reviews continue to improve (early Flies post = meh), we wouldn't be surprised.
