There's nothing more inspiring than watching someone cultivate their true talent on the internet. One's life-calling, if you will. In that vein, we present Batting Stance Guy. He's been making his way around the sports blogosophere lately and has racked up over a half million YouTube views. His gift? Imitating the batting stances of Major League Baseball players, past and present, in his backyard, with a whiffleball bat. So what if Andy Roddick performs his tennis impersonations on a grander stage? We can't all be real athletes. Then again, we'd like to see a real athlete channel dozens of Mets stars in three minutes:

Batting Stance Guy's been wheeling out new team videos each week, and they never disappoint. It's not easy; batting stances are like fingerprints; no two are exactly alike. The art is in the leg-kicks, shoulder-shakes, follow-throughs and crotch-scratches. Of course, there are more verbal brands of athlete-parody out there, but we'll leave that to this kid. If you're a baseball fan, these videos will make you laugh and grab your attention for far longer than is healthy. If you're not, well then he probably just looks kind of silly.
