Lost bloggers are bum-rushing the internet to record their thoughts on last night's heart-pounding, two-hour season four finale. Trouble is, they're still recovering from having their minds blown and are making varying degrees of sense. Fortunately most Lost fans have also been rendered zombies today by the marathon brain-drain. So take a deep breath, because there's a lot of processing and spoiling to do. Stuff blew up, crashed, got moved, and people died (we think). Old questions were answered, and new ones were raised. The good news? Looks like the Oceanic Six might be headed back to the island next season! If they can only find it in space/time...
- Best Week Ever recaps the 5 best moments from the finale, and Shea Hess comes dangerously close to actually believing she's on the island.
- Doc Jensen fights delirium and almost falls asleep on his keyboard, but battles through to break it down like only he can.
- Lostpedia's finale recap page looks like an elaborate high school biology class studyguide put together during an all-nighter.
- Sledgeweb's Lost Stuff pours over some super-zoomed screencaps of the freighter explosion and island disappearing like they were the Zapruder Film. Hmm, nobody's on the freighter deck right before the blast, maybe Jin isn't really dead!
- What's Alan Watching? had to play some chess to reach a Zen-like state before diving into his recap.
- Filmfodder didn't even bother; their recap was delayed because "the density of last night's two hour episode requires extra time to process."
- The Tail Section calls the finale "epic, emotional, and action-packed," and praised it for providing "an entire cavalcade of answers, one of which I completely forgot I was waiting for." Just one? That happened to me like seven times.
- Slate smartly chose to analyze why Lost is peaking right now before last night's mayhem. The result? It's actually cogent and readable!
- Of course, some zombie was able to sum it all up in less than 140 characters. Twitter-er Jamye tweets: "just worked for an hour. bursting at the seams to talk about last night's finale of Lost. How awesome was it? I cried like 6 different times"
Me too, Jamye. Me too.
