This is as classic as it gets -- a 1993 report before "Internet" dropped the capital "I" and added a "the." Good to see a solemn news report about the internet that doesn't involve sexual criminals. Those were exciting days indeed.
8. AT&T Talks Big, Fails at Internet Until the iPhone
This commercial from 1993 features the internet before commercials dare speaketh its name. Not sure that AT&T made good on its promise to deliver this stuff before the other guys though. Wasn't it IBM who developed the fax-sending beach Etch-A-Sketch?
7. "Flowers in Cyberspace"
That's just one of the many great turns of phrase in "The Internet," a late-eighties PBS documentary. And the cyber-flowers come only a minute and a half in, eight glorious minutes before you even get to part 2! With pledge drives and everything! Case closed.
