Maybe it's the American in me, but I love giving my opinion. Voting, marketing research, surveys, polls... you name it. Every so often something comes along that fulfills my love for voting and other interests in one swoop. Enter TV Week.com & New Media Minute's 'Sexiest Male Web Host' poll. Cute geeks AND voting?!?
Finding a favorite is not as easy as it seems, folks. How can one jump to a quick decision with 16 pairs of intelligent eyes peering from the voting modules? I needed help. Inspired by the poll's host Daisy Whitney's comparison of the contest to a "Sweet 16" tournament (which has since been changed to 2 rounds of voting instead), I created a handy bracket to help determine which HTTP-hottie deserves the distinguished 'Sexiest Male Web Host' title. Without further ado, my picks:
With little to no knowledge of these web host specimens, I must give the disclaimer that my picks were based SOLELY on looks and a quick scan of the hosts' web pages. Since I am a young woman, I tended to gravitate towards the younger men. Also, I'm quite an animal lover so the fellas that aren't afraid of furry companions naturally received a shoe-in spot. The decisions were tough. And in the end, I learned something about myself. To me, 'Sexiest' doesn't just mean looks. It's the complete package.
So ultimately, I was taken with Adam Roberts (The Amateur Gourmet). And here's why:
- He has a cat. Or will at least will stand in the vicinity of one.
- He has the tenacity to write a book.
- His website is cute.
- Sense of humor.
- Won't complain about me watching Food Network.
- He plays the piano. On the internet! For his fans! Aww.
- He'll cook so you don't have to.
