Photo-sharing giant Flickr launched their new video offering to the public yesterday to fairly positive reviews. Not intended as a 'YouTube killer' and rather a compliment to their killer photo site, uploaded videos have a length limit of 90 seconds. The Flickr Blog details why 90 seconds is the magic number; videos are intended to mimic a sense of "long photos" for "capturing slices of life" on the site and not for uploading a hot music video ripped from elsewhere on the web, for example.

As a self-proclaimed 'cat lady' who loves looking at cat photos online, I'm pretty thrilled about the potential of Flickr Video bringing cleverly captured kitties to life. Let's be honest, 90 seconds is ample time to catch a kitty doing something really cute or ridiculous.

To celebrate the birth of Flickr Video, I dug through the trenches to compile the 10 best cat videos (so far) from the site, for your *quick* viewing pleasure.

Kitty conks out literally within 6 seconds. Bonk! Probably 1,000 of the video's views came from me alone, yet I still laugh everytime.
